Birdhouse

I am a 28 year old painter who travels and moves constantly from one city to another. Currently, I live and work in New York City. The painting "Birdhouse" was made using acrylics and lace on canvas and was completed in 2009. It is about "home" and settling. Lace is an element that appears in my work from time to time. For me, it represents my home country and nostalgia. In this particular work, lace is used in the curtains of the house in the foreground.
