3" x 4", acrylic paint and cotton embroidery on canvas, stretched on board. Completed in 2007.This is one of my favorite embroidery pieces. And also one of the first I completed on my own. I started doing embroidery with my mom, because I learned from her, and because I thought that she and I could make some really interesting work together combining her embroidery and my painting. After experimenting with her for a bit, I wanted to try my hand at embroidery on my own. This piece is the bridge from my last series of paintings into this new medium of embroidery.
